New Director for Peace House Secondary School
After working over the last two and half years to launch Peace House Secondary School,  Mark and Carla Hillman and their three children are soon heading for Beijing, China to take on new positions with an international school there.  “We will miss Tanzania and its wonderful people, but we leave knowing Peace House Secondary School is in very good hands,” said Mark Hillman. 

Paul Kaufman, a U.S. citizen living in Tanzania, has already started work as the new Director of Peace House Secondary School, taking over from Mark. “I look forward to following Mark Hillman’s footsteps, further building an atmosphere of excellence in all aspects of Peace House Secondary School,” says Kaufman.  “It is truly exciting to be a part of a school with such a unique mission, dedicated staff and supporters, and amazing students.”

Paul has many years of experience in international education, relief and development work.  He and his wife Elizabeth live in Arusha with their four month old son Inman. 


Theo
Theopista Seuyo serves as Peace House Secondary School's first headmistress. Theo has been an English teacher for several years and the assistant head at a private school in Moshi, Tanzania. She previously worked for Peace House Foundation on a part-time basis where she helped organize the scholarships paid to students in that area.

Theo and her husband have four children.
Dickson is the first accountant/purchaser at PHS. He is a recent graduate in accounting and is currently working on his CPA degree. While he has worked part-time for other NGOs, this is his first full-time position in accounting.

Originally from Arusha, Dickson's family still lives in the area.

Max

Max has already been working for PHF for a couple of months as site manager. He attended the University of Texas where he received a B.S. in Civil Engineering.

Max was born in Kampala, Uganda where his parents were medical missionaries. He and his wife, Gina, moved to Arusha in April 2006.

 

 

Charles

Charles has a degree in physics and chemistry from the Monduli Teacher's Training College. He and his wife are parents to a five month old daughter.

Nicholas is a recent graduate of Mwenge Teacher's College in Moshi where he was a Peace House Foundation scholarship recipient. He will be teaching biology and geography.

Raymond

Raymond has a degree in math and has been teaching for 17 years in Dar es Salaam. He is currently working on a degree in special education. Raymond and his wife have four children.
